Week 15 Story: The Three Seamstresses

Once upon a time there was a mother and daughter. The mother had become very angry with her daughter because her daughter was very lazy. The daughter was supposed to be a seamstress but instead of doing her daily work she laid around. The mother was so frustrated with her lazy daughter that one day she began to beat her and the daughter wailed after each hit. While the mother continued to beat her and the daughter continued to cry the Queen walked by. She had heard the crying and decided to stop into their home to see what the problem was. When she arrived the mother could not bear to tell the Queen of her daughter's laziness so instead she told her that her daughter would not stop working. She lied and said that instead of lying around her daughter chose to sew all day long and she could not stop her. The Queen was amazed by this and told the daughter that if she were to come to her castle and sew all of her dresses and the rest of her clothes that she would let her marry her son....

This story is now in my google site.  Once upon a time, there was a young woman, Elizabeth, who was looking for a man to marry. Elizabeth had many suitors, too many to count. She loved men and she loved dating many at the same time. But, there was one man in particular she liked more than the others, his name was Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith was tall and built like a strong lumberjack. He treated Elizabeth better than any of her other suitors and one day he decided he needed to marry Elizabeth. He asked her to marry him and Elizabeth excitedly agreed. A couple weeks had gone by of being engaged an everything was going great. He kept telling Elizabeth how amazing his mansion was in the Hamptons that they were going to move into together but he would not let her see it because he wanted it to be a surprise. Why the Dog's Tail Goes Between Their Legs Many years ago, before dog came to live with man, a dog had ears that stuck up to the sky and a tail that pointed straight up. This is how the dog was always known to look; strong and sturdy. One night a dog was wondering around the forest searching for food, he was starving and hadn't eaten in three days. The dog came upon a village, he saw the men roasting their meat and saw the women preparing other delicious looking foods. The dog was desperate and was willing to do anything to eat. He approached the man and kindly asked for a portion of their meat. The man immediately began to laugh and shooed the dog away. But he was starving, he proposed that if they were to give him food he would be their most loyal companion and protector. The man took a minute, but agreed. How the Wolf Killed the Elephant Once upon a time, in a jungle long ago there lived many animals that all got along peacefully, for the most part. The Elephant believed it was the most amazing animal to ever exist and the elephants required that everyday every animal had to bring them something to pay their respects, they most often were brought food. One day, the wolf was out basking in the sun near the lake and he was so content with himself that he decided he did not need to go and give the elephants an offering. The wolf continued to lie there until all the sudden he felt a large shadow come over him. When he looked up he saw the king elephant standing over him. The Fly and the Lion Once upon a time, in a jungle that was much more peaceful and much larger than the jungle today, the lion was still the King of the jungle. The lion ruled over everyone and believed he was better than every other animal that also lived in the jungle. The flies became tired of hearing the lions brag about how good they were all the time, so one day two flies approached a lion and said "we are better than you." The lion began to laugh at such a preposterous comment, how could anyone believe they were better than a lion? "We will prove it to you!" said the flies. "Fine" agreed the lion, but you both are only waisting your time and mine. "I propose a race, whoever can get from this side of the jungle all the way to the opposite side by the waterfall wins." This story is now in my portfolio . How the Turtle Got It's Shell Once upon a time, in a forest filled with all of the animals, there lived a small colony of turtles. These turtles lived a happy and peaceful life, for the most part. The turtles were kind and there were few animals in the forest who did not like the turtles. But, there was one animal that the turtles did not like, the bear. The bears in the forest thought the turtles were the best snack in all of the forest, so the turtles were constantly in fear of being eaten by a bear. One day the turtles had had enough, they no longer wanted to live in fear and they were determined to whatever it took to save themselves. The leader of the turtle colony decided that he had no other option than to go and visit the forest god. "Please Forest God, I need your help, all of my family and friends are being eaten" pleaded the turtle. The Forest God was known for helping when she was asked, but every wish she granted ...

This small village was the home to many humans, while the forest was home to hundreds of animals. One day some other villagers came to the village and began to burn down the whole village. In the wake of this incident, all of the villagers had to flee to avoid dying. In the midst of the crisis, there was something very special left behind. A young Eagle mother was flying above watching the horrible event take place and after all the people had vacated she decided to get closer and check out the scene to look for leftover food for her children. As she was scavenging around she began to hear a sound, but it was unlike an other animal sound she had heard.
