Storybook Favorites
Looking through these stories started to get me excited about this upcoming semester in this class, I know I am going to learn a lot and am eager to do so. There were many stories that caught my eye but here are three that I particularly liked.
The Karma Diaries was one that I specifically liked because I like to think that karma is something that serves its way through life. I am familiar with what karma is but not so much where it is from or what the history is behind it and I want to learn more about that. The introduction made me want to read the further stories about how "Judge Karma" punished or rewarded her people by the actions they had done. The introduction described the premise well and the layout of the page gave an ominous feeling, almost like a mystery to read more and find out what had happened. Overall, the page was well designed and set up so that it was easy for me to navigate. The images within the story helped me to make a mental picture of what the story was describing.

In the story Go Greece or Go Home I was initially drawn to the title because I am a part of a sorority and the title talked about going Greece, or as some say going greek. The introduction had me hooked as soon as I began to read it. I am familiar with Athena and Poseidon but I am not familiar with their powers and what they are known for, so this story introduced me to new information. The way the page is set up made it easy for me to navigate and it also had a simple but good looking design. The images within the story helped me relate the story to pictures and see what the author was referring to. This story gave me some ideas of what I might want to write about for my project.

The third story I chose that was one of my favorites was Real Housewives of Greek Mythology. I was initially intrigued by this title because I personally love to watch the housewives shows on television and thought this story would be comedic. To my pleasure this story was all about the drama and I loved it. The way the author had the dialogue like a script was creative and fun and the page was set up for me to work easily. I enjoyed reading these stories because they were making fun of the housewives in real life and the absurd things they fight about. The pictures were fun and related to the stories being told. This was definitely my favorite and helped me come up with some new ideas for my future project.

Keeping Up With Pavarti was another one of my favorite storybooks from indian epics, it was cute witty and and fun to read. The pictures the author put on the page helped me relate the story to a visual aspect and they brought life to the story. The title went well with the theme of the stories and was an accurate depiction of what was going on. The page was well designed and easy to work with, I enjoyed this one a lot because of the play off reality television. It was fun to read and made me think I want to do a story like this one, describing someone's life.
Another story that caught my eye was the title that had the word Hogwarts in it, I like Harry Potter and so I chose this story because I thought it would be a fun read. The title and introduction were well thought out and had me hooked to read the rest of story. Hogwarts: The Loyalty of Brothers was exciting and fun to read and I enjoyed it even more because it related back to a series that I like a lot. The page was extremely well done and all of the pictures helped the reader to visualize exactly what the author was talking about. This was definitely one of my favorite story books.
Zeus's Ex Lovers was a fun storybook to read. I initially chose to read this storybook because it played along with the real housewives story book and I thought it would be interesting. The introduction had me hooked with the drama and excitement and left me wanting to read more. The page was designed well and went along with the theme of the story. I like the idea of had a dramatic yet comical story for my storybook like this one. This story combined mythology with a classic romantic comedy movie and I loved it.
